#Under8: yes we did! The sportiest Megane has duly added a 3rd lap record round the Nürburgring’s legendary Norschleife to its impressive list of achievements. The feat was accomplished by an all-new limited-edition model imbued with a radical philosophy: Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R.
Previous records were registered with Megane R26.R in 2008 and R.S. Trophy in 2011.
Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R is a 2-seater (Recaro Pole Position polycarbonate monocoque seats), derivative of the recently-introduced Megane R.S. 275 Trophy. It benefits ultra-sporty features inherited from the brand’s racing activities and shows a 100 kilogram-weightloss compared to the R.S. version.
It comes as standard with the Cup chassis, 2.0-litre petrol R.S. engine boosted to 275 bph, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, ‘Öhlins Road&Track’ dampers and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
This ultra limited-edition series will go on sale in some 15 countries and only 250 units will be available. Order books will open soon first in France followed by other countries.
