The Shanghai Motor show is the biggest event in the Asian automotive calendar. From 20 to 29 April more than a million visitors will be flocking to the China Expo Complex. For Renault, a recent arrival to China, the event makes a great opportunity for introducing itself, through Captur and Kadjar in particular.

Renault Captur, first steps in China

Renault has brought out four Capturs to Shanghai, fresh from the model's successful performance on the European market. True to its values, the little crossover adapts to the specific characteristics of the Chinese market, with its muscular, assertive look perfectly in keeping with Chinese customers' expectations for a status-enhancing vehicle. Captur is also playing the customization card, with a wide choice of interior finishes and two-tone body colour combinations, meaning each customer can enjoy a unique vehicle, in tune with individual cultures, personalities and lifestyles.

Renault Captur is powered by a 1.2 TcE engine, one of the most economical of its generation, and has everything it takes to appeal to Chinese motorists when it comes on the market in the second half of 2015.

Renault Kadjar, the Chinese adventure

The other photographers' favourite at the Renault stand is Kadjar, with its tough yet elegant styling ideally set to meet the aspirational expectations prevalent in today's Chinese market. And this will be the first Renault Dongfeng 100% Chinese-built vehicle, from 2016.

“Passion for Life”, Renault's new international slogan

After Geneva, Shanghai is the second motor show to hear Renault's new English-language slogan, “Renault, Passion for Life”. At Shanghai in person, Laurens Van den Acker explained that “the new tagline —'Passion for Life'— strengthens Renault's international commitment to keep on coming up with great cars and useful innovations that delight customers and make their lives more rewarding”.
