The Alliance steals the show, introducing the Nissan stand

08 March 2012
The Renault-Nissan Alliance is here with a vengeance at this 82nd Geneva Motor show. Although Renault ZOE stole the show this year, Nissan also had its share of surprises. Among the Japanese brand's favorites like Nissan Micra, Nissan Qashqai or Nissan Leaf, we found a rainbow of concept cars from the all-electric to the SUV on the Nissan stand.

Find out more on what's new at the Nissan stand, located in Hall 4 - Stand 4150 (next to the Renault stand) at Palexpo.

The star of the show, new concept car Invitation, is very similar to the B-segment production car that will be launched in 2013 by Nissan. Compact, spacious and bright, it is packed with technologies like the Around View Monitor, offering a panoramic 360° view around the vehicle:

Also new on the stand, concept-car e-NV200, a zero emission vehicle. Derived from popular Nissan NV200, it will inspire Nissan's next production LCV. Using most elements from the Nissan Leaf, it has a lithium-ion battery made up of 48 modules and an 80kW motor :

Created in Japan, concept-car Hi-Cross is ultra-spacious with three rows of seats that can hold 7 passengers and a hybrid powertrain, equipped with an electric motor and a direct injection 2.0 l petrol engine. It both symbolizes Nissan's leadership on the crossover market as well as its expertise in the clean cars (hybrid, electric) technology :

A gem of performance, Concept-car Juke Nismo brings the sportiness of a coupe and the lines of an LCV together :

Leaf Nismo RC, a lab on wheels :

And of course, perfect symbol of the Alliance, the R9M engine (also known as Energy dCi 130 at Renault), manufactured at the Cléon plant in France :
