This radical version of the Mégane RS 275 Trophy holds the record (7’54”36) for the Nürburgring northern loop (Nordschleife), in the front-wheel-drive production vehicle category.
Production of this very special car, which has shed its rear bench and weighs 101 kg less, is limited to 250 units.
Apparently, all the units available in France had sold out by 1 July, though product manager Jean-Maxime Boulanger did whisper in my ear that there might be a few (no more than ten, in any case) left for sale in the UK or Spain.
This two-seater sportscar features a Cup chassis with limited-slip differential, a 2.0 litre RS petrol engine developing 275 bhp, an Akrapovic titanium exhaust line, Öhlins Road&Track adjustable shock absorbers, composite springs, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres specially matched to the car.

Unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 will be one of the cars running in the WSR 2015 season.
With its carbon body, this superbly proportioned dream car weighs less than 1100 kg. Powered by an engine developing more than 500 bhp, it can top 300 km/h. From 2015, this new Renault Sport car will be one of the stars at World Series by Renault meetings, in the brand new Renault Sport Trophy championship, antechamber for the professional endurance and GT championships.

Then we mustn't forget the cute little Clio R.S. 200 EDC in its Sirius yellow livery.
And I'll close with a word on our dual involvement in Formula E this year:
1) We're title sponsor of the e.dams-Renault team, co-owned by Jean-Paul Driot and Alain Prost, four-times world Formula One Champion and Renault brand ambassador. The two drivers are Nicolas Prost and Sébastien Buemi, regular figures in the Formula One and endurance paddocks.
2) We're official technical partner of the 2014/2015 FIA Formula E Championship, which started in Beijing on 13 September. All the runners in this season's meetings are Spark-Renault SRT_01E cars.
