On Wednesday 5 and Wednesday 12 October: Sportlight on technology careers
The Renault stand at the Paris Motor Show will also be spotlighting technology careers with Renault (in engineering and IT) , applicants are invited to come and talk with Groupe Renault engineering and recruitment specialists on the emerging challenges facing the automotive industry today.
As we mentioned, the recruitment drive extends to all company functions: HR, engineering, IS/IT, purchasing, manufacturing, sales, etc., and covers a broad jobs spectrum within each function. In manufacturing, for example, we’re looking for operators, maintenance technicians, system controllers and team leaders.
To keep pace with the major technology changes under way in automotive development —connected cars, autonomous cars, extensively embedded digital systems, etc.— we’re looking for fresh talent: people strongly motivated by the quest for innovation and eager to work in an exciting international environment. Then new opportunities also abound in response to shifts in automotive usage practices and the unstoppable development of alternative energies.
Renault offers wide-open career opportunities in an international environment, largely expanded by our close cooperation with Nissan. And throughout their careers, Renault employees are actively encouraged to develop new skills, through wide-reaching training and career plan programmes.
Some Renault functions, including finance and sales, offer graduate programmes for new recruits just out of college. The programme will start with operational posts that give the newcomer first-hand experience of grassroots reality, followed by posts in a more strategic dimension higher up the organizational ladder. In our production facilities, for example, a young engineer will typically be put in an operational post for two years, followed by a supervisory position at the head of a team of operators, followed two years later by a position in process or supply-chain engineering, with a more global dimension.
