2,400 fruit trees offered at Project Gardens

This year, to celebrate the production of new Mégane Sedan, Renault Turkey has distributed 2,400 fruit tree seedlings in the villages of Bursa, where its Turkey plant is located. Since the project started in 2006, a total of 23,445 fruit trees have been offered to the villagers under the "Project Gardens" events.

The initiative presents a great opportunity for the villagers, the employees and their families to come together for an environmental purpose. And this year the project has extra significance as the Mégane Sedan was voted winner of the Turkish Car of the Year.

Responsibility towards future generations

At Renault Turkey, we have established a tradition of organizing the distribution of the tree seedlings since 2006, when we succeeded in bringing one of Renault's new automobile projects to Bursa. This year, our new Mégane Sedan, which we started manufacturing in this factory a few months ago and exporting all over the world, will add a lot to both Bursa and the country's economy. We are pleased to have contributed to the economic development of our villagers around Bursa with an environmentally friendly project. At Renault, we see this beautiful city not only as vital for the economy but also as a great family and we are aware of our social responsibility for future generations” said Tunç Başeğmez, the General Manager of Renault Turkey.
