On 25 November 2019, at 3.10 pm, a pearl black New Renault ZOE Intens rolled off the production line at the Renault plant in Flins sur Seine (Yvelines) to loud applause. It was the 200,000th electric vehicle to be built on the site since production of the 1st generation Renault ZOE began in 2012.
For this special occasion, the lucky Dutch buyer and the director of the Renault concession that sold the vehicle were invited to Flins. Jean-Luc Mabire, Plant Director, symbolically handed over the keys to this New ZOE to its delighted owner.
Flins plant: an emblematic production site for our Group
Since its foundation in 1952, the Renault site in Flins has produced over 18.3 million vehicles. It is the only Groupe Renault and Alliance site in the entire world that manufactures the Nissan Micra (since 2016) and the Renault ZOE (since 2012). Production levels increased by over 10% year on year and by mid-2019, 179,149 ZOE had been built. Since July 2019, Flins has produced over 15,000 New ZOE vehicles, which have been delivered to customers in more than 25 countries in Europe.
The New Renault ZOE has a distinctive design and a 100%-electric engine that produces an impressive 100 kW and a range of 296 miles WLTP*. Using rapid DC charging to 50 kW, it offers the widest selection of charging options for the recharging terminals found in Europe. This allows it to add 93 miles of range in just 30 minutes.
Renault ZOE is the best sold EV in Europe since 2010.
