The 2012 Formula 1 season starts in just a few weeks in Melbourne! Renault Sport F1 is once again focusing on its role as engine manufacturer, equipping four partner teams with a V8 powerplant, the RS27 – 2012. Renault is supplying engines to one-third of the teams competing in the 2012 F1 season (compared with 25% last year).
With one drivers’ title, for Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull Racing, and one constructors’ title, for our partner Red Bull Racing, in 2011, the Viry team is ready to take on new technological challenges by partnering the following teams in 2012:
- Red Bull Racing: Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber
- Lotus F1 Team: Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean
- Caterham F1 Team: Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov
- Willams F1 Team (new partner this season): Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna
