A fifth vehicle for India: here comes Renault Scala

Renault is broadening its range of vehicles available in India with Scala, the fifth model launched in this country in less than 18 months. This premium small saloon is manufactured at the Chennai plant. After the sedan Fluence, the crossover Koleos, the hatchback Pulse and the SUV Duster, the launch of Scala means Renault is now represented in all segments of the Indian car market, with products that meet the needs of many different customers.

Marc Nassif, managing director of Renault India, comments: With the Scala saloon, Renault India has kept its promise to launch five models in less than 18 months and to open a network of 100 dealers all over the country before the end of 2012.

Renault Scala comes in three trim levels, and both diesel and petrol versions will be available from launch: the fuel-efficient 1.5 dCi engine that highlights Renault’s technological prowess and a 1.5 16v petrol option.

Renault India is emphasising the importance it places on customer satisfaction by offering a services package tailored to the local market. Renault Ccomplete Care is a premium package that includes a 2+2 years/80,000km warranty and free labour for the 2,000km, 10,000km and 20,000km services, as well as 24/7 roadside assistance using a dedicated call centre.
