Just a few weeks before the eagerly-anticipated A110 Première Édition hits the road, Alpine is proud to present the Alpine A110 Cup, a new race car that will take to the track across Europe in 2018 as the star of the Alpine Europa Cup. Developed by Signatech and packed with high-quality features, the A110 Cup effortlessly blends performance, efficiency and driving pleasure.

The creation of the Alpine A110 Cup and its associated championship – the Alpine Europa Cup – is the tangible evidence of the depth of our passion for motorsport,” says Bernard Ollivier, Alpine Deputy Managing Director.

The Alpine A110 Cup – a thoroughbred race car

Alpine’s recent success on the racetrack, including last year’s FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) LMP2 class crown, has helped it to win over fans’ hearts. The A110 Cup is a genuine Alpine in every respect and, as such follows seamlessly in the illustrious tradition of the marque. Equipped with a raft of high-quality, performance-geared features, it is ideally adapted for racing.

A new challenge for Alpine and its partner Signatech

For this new project, loyal partner Signatech – the outfit behind Alpine’s assault on FIA WEC glory – was tasked with the design, development and marketing of the A110 Cup. Bolstered by its experience and expertise in the realm of customer racing products, Signatech’s objective is to ensure an outstanding experience behind the wheel for beginners and experienced alike.

The A110 Cup is an uncompromising car in every area, and its primary aim is to give drivers as much enjoyment as possible,” notes Philippe Sinault, Signatech Team Principal.

To rise to this challenge, Signatech focused its efforts on quality, ergonomics and efficiency. Thanks to its combination of a solid chassis, a 270hp engine, a weight of just 1,050kg (generating a weight-to-power ratio of 3.9kg/hp), first-rate safety credentials, a sophisticated suite of on-board electronics worthy of an endurance racing prototype and a redesigned cabin that places the accent firmly on comfort, the Alpine A110 Cup promises outstanding efficiency and performance.

The Alpine Europa Cup: A series that will visit Europe’s premier circuits

The new Alpine Europa Cup – organised and promoted by Signatech – will see some 20 Alpine A110 Cups go wheel-to-wheel over the course of a six-round calendar that takes in some of the finest circuits on the continent. This FIA-endorsed international series will marry high standards and professionalism out on-track with a human touch and warm, friendly atmosphere in the paddock. At Alpine’s behest, the championship will pay homage to the original Europa Cup that ran between 1985 and 1988 featuring the Alpine GTA V6 Turbo.

The Alpine A110 Cup is priced at just €100,000 (excluding value added tax) and interested drivers must commit to the Alpine Europa Cup if they wish to benefit from this offer. Production will be strictly limited, with only around 20 cars set to be sold for the competition’s inaugural first season!

The Alpine Europa Cup will kick off at Paul Ricard/Le Castellet in France on June 1-2, 2018.
