Dive into Renault 120 years

750 vehicles and just as many surprises. To celebrate its 120th birthday, Renault offered a unique opportunity to media to visit a selection of iconic models from its collection and hear about the values that have driven the group since 1898. Here are some of the highlights of this living collection -visible during shows and historic races- which is maintained by Renault Classic!

Renault and the Ecole des Arts Déco in Paris present Vasarely, the Pope of Op Art!

Renault and the Ecole des Arts Déco in Paris are presenting an original exhibition featuring the work of Vasarely, an artist on the frontier of art and design and founder of the op art movement: the Pope of Op Art! A selection of five original panels and 24 preparatory studies illustrate the inventive talent and artistic research of this innovative artist.
The cooperation between Vasarely and Renault remains one of the most important in the Renault art collection. Set up in 1967, the collection now includes over 350 works by artists of all nationalities and all schools.

Renault, over a century of expertise in light commercial vehicles

These iconic LCVs often left a lasting mark on their times. Groupe Renault’s global LCV sales have increased by 40% since 2011, reaching a new historic record of 434,000 units in 2016.

R4: A trailblazer for globalization

Manufactured on Paris’ Île Seguin, the birthplace of the original Renault factories, R4 proved to be a real commercial success: After the millionth Renault 4 rolled off the production line back in 1966, a further seven million of these vehicles went on to be sold over its lifetime spanning more than 30 years.
