In its initial release colour of “flame red”, Renault Kadjar will be warming up the show, exciting bystanders with its vibrant, robust, adventurous design. Turning heads with its sturdy, compact outline (4.45 m long by 1.84 m wide) and sleek low profile (1.60 m high). The distinctive styling, a harmonious follow-on from Clio 4 and Captur, gives Kadjar a strong personality true to the Renault genetic make-up. As Renault's head of industrial design commented at the press conference, “Kadjar's sleek, athletic design marks a radical departure from the norms in this vehicle segment , bringing fresh vivacity and new sensations to the crossover universe”.
Though journalists got a good look at Kadjar from the outside in February, the interior will be revealed for the very first time at the Geneva Motor Show. Again, surprises are in store as visitors discover a unique style, precise finish and exceptional comfort.
The dashboard in itself gives a fine illustration of the Kadjar interpretation of motoring pleasure, with horizontal lines accentuating the width of the passenger compartment. The speedometer and air vents have neat, fine chrome surrounds, and the central console has two side trims that further contribute to the decidedly upmarket feel. The assertive gearshift design evokes a sportslike temperament.
The seating is true to the crossover spirit, with a refined, sports-inspired design and visible attention to detail. The front-seat passenger enjoys a generously proportioned living space and the driver is assured of the best in driving pleasure. Dreamers will appreciate the fixed glazed roof (measuring 1.4 square metres), which lends both balance and brightness to the passenger compartment.
Renault Kadjar has two “pure vision” full-LED headlamp modules. This technology produces a more intense, more precise light beam (20% more powerful than a halogen beam). For improved lateral visibility under foul weather conditions, the foglamps have a cornering adaptation function, triggered when an indicator is operated or on steering wheel rotation at speeds below 40km/h. All round, Renault Kadjar extends an open invitation for the most enjoyable escapades.
