#Shanghaimotorshow 2017: Espace rounds out the Renault crossover range in China

Espace, specially adapted for the Chinese market

Chinese and European teams worked together to adapt Renault Espace for the closest possible fit to the specific needs of a particularly demanding clientele.

For example, since rear-seat comfort is a very important purchase criterion on this market, Renault Espace will come with a two very spacious rear seats plus a more modest central one.

Then to face up to harsher weather conditions and damaged road surfaces, corrosion-proofing and chassis sealing on Renault Espace have been toughened. And even the horn is specially adapted for operation in more dust-prone environments.

Design-wise, the rear bumper has been changed to give the car a more robust and sportslike appearance.

A full range of crossovers, with awards aplenty

As well as rounding out its crossover range with Espace, set for Chinese release in the second half of 2017, following on from Captur in 2015, then Kadjar and New Koleos in 2016, Renault is also filling out the features across the rest of its line-up.

Renault Kadjar, which obtained five-star rating in the C-NCAP tests (the Chinse equivalent of Euro NCAP) plus top ranking in its category, will be getting an extended range of engines and equipment, including reversing camera, Apple CarPlay compatibility, heated seats and electric fold-back wing mirrors.

And New Renault Koleos is the proud winner of more than ten quality and design awards from influential publications such as Beijing Daily and Autocarweekly.
