Vettel brings 11th world title to Renault Sport F1, 3rd year running with Red Bull Racing
Renault Sport F1, Red Bull Racing engine supplier since 2007, celebrated its 11th world title in Formula One after the USA GP and Vettel's podium. This title adds to those won with Williams, Benetton and Renault F1.
The result comes after 440 points, 7 wins, eight pole positions and 7 fastest laps for the duo of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber so far this year.
The Red Bull Racing-Renault partnership started in 2007 when the RS27, Renault’s 2.4 litre V8 developed in Viry-Châtillon, was integrated into the Red Bull Racing team chassis. The 1st podium came in the inaugural season, with the first-ever Red Bull Racing-Renault win arriving in China 2009. The RS27 has since powered Red Bull to a total of 34 wins, 3 constructors’ championships and 1794.5 points in just over 5 years.

These 11 titles add to 151 wins, the 1st of which dates back to 1979, which was won by Jean-Pierre Jabouille at the French GP, on the Dijon-Prenois track, and the most recent being Kimi Räikkönen's pole position in Abu Dhabi, beginning of November.
Renault Sport F1 powers 4 teams this season: Red Bull, Lotus, Williams and Caterham. 5 Renault engines were among the top 10 in USA Grand Prix. Vettel now takes a 13 point advantage over drivers’ title rival Fernando Alonso, who finished in 3rd position, into the final round of the championship in Brazil next week.
