Her career began in 1982 as head of advertising with the French magazine “Médias”.
After being head of external communications at Dassault Electronique (Thales) from 1985 to 1995, in 1995, she moved on to being head of external and internal communications at ETDE, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction in charge of engineering and electrical network maintenance and works.
In 2000, Armelle Volkringer became Communications Director at Groupe Bouygues Telecom, in charge of institutional and product press relations, publications, events, Internet and intranet sites and sponsorship. She steered the creation of the Bouygues Foundation.
In 2006, she became Communications and External Relations Director at Groupe Accor. In this role, she was head of Corporate Communications and also covered the communication for all brands. She also set up the Accor Foundation in November 2008.
In 2011, Armelle Volkringer joined Publicis Consultants France as head of the Media and Influence Relations Department. In 2014, she was appointed Vice-President of Publicis Consultants France.
In 2015, she joined Groupe Renault as VP Communications.
On April 1, 2019, her remit was extended to SVP, Communications and Public Relations, Groupe Renault.
As of 1 November 2019, Armelle Volkringer is appointed SVP, Communications, Public Affairs, Social and Sustainable Impact, Groupe Renault. She retains her responsibilities as Director of Communications and Public Relations of Groupe Renault. Armelle Volkringer is a member of Groupe Renault Management Committee.
