Alliance SVP, Product Development 1

Born in 1960, Christian Steyer graduated from École centrale de Paris in France. He joined the Groupe Renault in 1984 in the field of digital simulation.

After working for two years as assistant to Chairman Louis Schweitzer, he was appointed in 1999 Director of Engineering Quality and in 2005 Director of Customer Performance. He took the position of Development Range Director for Mégane in 2008, working for product developments in South Korea and Turkey.

In 2010 he became Development Range Director for New Twingo and coordinated the first large-scale project with Daimler.

In 2014 he was appointed Development Range Director for the D segment and in 2015 he took over responsibility for Vehicle Development and Upstream Project Management. At that time, he also became responsible for the Vehicle Engineering Cross Company Team coordinating collaborative work with Nissan on vehicle platforms and projects.

On April 1st, 2018 he is named Alliance Senior Vice President, in charge of Product Development for A and B segments, as well as for vans. He also has the global responsibility for all vehicles of Groupe Renault.

Christian Steyer is a member of Groupe Renault Management Committee.
