The Tel Aviv Open Innovation Lab opened in 2016 at Tel Aviv University’s Porter School of Environmental Studies in Israel, with the ambition of promoting the electric vehicle and developing a strong creative approach to tomorrow’s transport solutions. This technological creativity centre is a cooperative venture between Renault (through the Renault-Nissan Alliance) Carasso Motors (Renault importer in Israel) and the Tel Aviv Institute of Innovation in Transportation. It primarily addresses the fields of electric vehicles, aftersales and cybersecurity.

Open Innovation Labs are an important feature of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s strategy and culture on innovation. Five years after the first was opened in Silicon Valley, the Alliance chose Israel to host its next. This environment, which includes renowned university research centres, ranks among the world’s top five startup ecosystems.
