What does the Valladolid bodywork-assembly site do ?
The Valladolid bodywork-assembly site was the first plant to be built in Spain by Renault. The site conducts the pressing, body assembly, paintwork and final assembly of vehicles prior to their distribution across the Renault network. Since its founding in 1953, the site has built 17 models including the Renault 5, Renault 12, Super 5, Clio and Modus, a total of more than five million vehicles. Today, the plant's 2,693 employees assemble around 1,350 vehicles daily (Captur). The Valladolid bodywork-assembly site also produces parts for other Renault group plants.
In 2012, the Valladolid bodywork-assembly site took on a key role in Renault's sustainable mobility strategy with the building of Twizy. A special building is dedicated to the production of this electric urban two-seater.
The Valladolid bodywork-assembly site has been ISO 14001 certified since 1999.
